Back In Canada: October 1st: A Brief Shoot In Niagara

"Adventures In Wine Country" with Co-Hosts Chuck Byers and Greg Rist is a new series airing in April 2010 on CHEX Television Channel 12 Durham and the Greater Toronto Area.

Inniskillin
Early in the morning on October 1st, we were off to Niagara to get some visual shots of Inniskillin, Jackson Triggs and Le Clos Jordanne.
We stopped off at Inniskillin where we were met by Debi Pratt, Winery Public Relations Manager. Visuals were taken around the winery but not inside since that could have been done later on. The first to be filmed were the vines relegated for the production of Icewine. The other shots were taken of the vineyards that seemed to flow right into the escarpment.
Jackson Triggs
At Jackson-Triggs, we spent much time at the experimental vines at the front of the winery plus some shots at the back on top of the terrace that overlooked the Southern portion of the vineyard.
Le Clos Jordanne
Here, they were in harvest and we got some great shots of the mechanical harvester graping its way through the vines at Koup's Vineyard not far from the net covered Le Petit Vineyard. We then went to the winery proper where we took shots of the sorting and then dumping into the wine fermenters.
Since I had a prior appointment, we then left to go home.
