DAY EIGHT: The Omnious Presence of ROOT CANAL!
PAIN!
Greg and I had a full day planned out , not by the MTA but the best made plans of mice and men sometimes go astray. Today they did! Greg called and was in such pain that he couldn't even move. We made an appointment to have his tooth looked at and off he went to get a root canal.
Trudy was called and arrangements were made to have the vehicle come over at 11am but even though, after two hours of surgery Greg felt better, he was in no shape to go anywhere. All plans were dropped and Trudy and I had lunch. Greg slept and I worked at my blog etc.
At 20:45 hours (8:45 pm) he was well enough to go to the Qormi Wine Festival where we did some filming and interviewing. Listen to "Pop" music , had some wine and then hightailed it back to the hotel around 11;30.
One thing did stick in our minds though and that was that not one drunk or fight did we see. The whole event was orderly and people where having fun. There were kids running around, people having a drink and eating alot. There were young teenagers, families, singles and marrieds all having a good time. The music was very professional and again, not one nasty part to the event.
One funny thing did happen as Greg was interviewing one of the organizers. A man with a group of friends did come in and noticed that the god of television was there. He began to speak loud as though doing a tour and made his way toward the camera trying to appear non-chalante though everyone knew what he was up to. "And this is----" he would say about the grapes, pressing and bar. Eventually when no one paid attention to him and he knew he was making somewhat of a fool of himself as well as a nuisance, he stopped. Highlight of the evening.
